Greer County's official roster sends a user to VINE if a missing person may have been released or transferred. That link is strong evidence that VINE is the intended fallback for the jail. Still, the state overview does not publish a definitive facility-by-facility coverage table. Verify the reporting agency on the live match rather than assuming that every Greer booking or every event is present.
ODOC custody events may also appear, including events involving Oklahoma State Reformatory. A state-prison record and a Greer County Jail record remain distinct. VINE does not replace ODOC Offender Lookup, and it does not cover a federal BOP sentence as though it were Oklahoma custody.

A released or out-of-custody result is evidence that the reporting source sent a change. It does not necessarily disclose whether the person left on bond, completed time, was dismissed, entered parole, or moved to another custodian. For a Greer jail event, request the booking's final custody entry. For an ODOC event, compare the correct offender detail and sentence row.
Dates also have different meanings. A VINE event date concerns a reported custody change. A projected release date is ODOC's estimate and may move with credits or other sentence factors. A parole docket date is a chance for Board consideration, not a release date. A discharge date records the end of a sentence or supervision row. - When an alert arrives, read the agency and event, then confirm the exact disposition with that source.
Telephone registration is available at 1-877-654-8463. Legacy phone flows use a four-digit PIN so the intended recipient can confirm a notice. The current Attorney General overview does not impose one fixed PIN process on every channel. A PIN may be required by the phone or live flow, while email, text, and app methods may use account or contact verification. Follow the prompt and never invent or reuse a sensitive code.
Save enough registration detail to manage the alert later, but keep it private. A missed call or filtered message does not cancel the underlying custody event. Return to the matching person record and contact the reporting facility when a notice is unclear. If the live system offers more than one event, choose only those needed and read the delivery terms shown at registration.

Greer County Release Notification Layers
Oklahoma uses two relevant notification paths. VINE focuses on custody status and offered custody-event alerts, and any person may register. The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board operates a separate Victim Notification Program for Board-specific notice, participation, and hearing information. Enrollment in one has not been documented as automatic enrollment in the other.

Use Board registration when parole-hearing notice or participation is the issue. Use VINE for custody events. A docketed hearing, favorable vote, or recommendation is not itself physical release, so check ODOC implementation and VINE after final Board action.
Confirm Greer County VINELink Results
VINE is a notification and current-status tool, not a durable history of Greer County releases. Data can lag. Facility coverage can change, and a missing record can reflect a spelling error, identifier mismatch, outage, excluded data, or a source that does not feed the event. VINE also is not the official Greer 24-hour or 72-hour archive because neither county feed exists.
For Greer County Jail, confirm exact time, disposition, and destination through the sheriff's records channel and the relevant court. For Oklahoma State Reformatory or another state institution, use ODOC Offender Lookup and request sentence or discharge records when needed. The court and custody records have separate roles. ODCR can show a Greer district-case bond, dismissal, judgment, sentence, warrant, or later order.
